Zesty Grilled Chicken Kabobs Recipe


  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into cubes
  • 1 yellow onion, cut into pieces
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground green cardamom
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 red onion, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika



  1. In a bowl, combine the chicken cubes, yellow onion chunks, minced garlic cloves, ground green cardamom, green bell pepper chunks, lemon juice, red onion chunks, nutmeg, olive oil, red bell pepper chunks, dried thyme, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Mix well to ensure the marinade coats all the ingredients.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken, onions, bell peppers, and any other desired vegetables on the skewers, alternating between them.
  6. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking. Place the chicken kabobs on the preheated grill and close the lid.
  7. Grill the kabobs for approximately 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked thoroughly and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
