Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet or saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  2. Add beef broth, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, salt, pepper, white sugar, and onion powder to the skillet with the cooked ground beef. Stir well to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Taste the hot dog chili and adjust the seasonings to your preference. Add more chili powder for extra heat or more sugar to balance the flavors if desired.
  5. Continue to simmer the chili for another 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Remove the hot dog chili from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the chili generously over hot dogs in buns or as desired. You can top it with onions, mustard, cheese, or any other condiments you prefer.

Enjoy your tasty hot dog chili! It’s a perfect topping to elevate the flavor of your hot dogs.
