Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Slices of cheese (your choice)
For serving:
- Hamburger buns
- Lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Pickles
- Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.)
Instructions:
- Combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties of your desired size. Make sure the patties are slightly larger than the size of the buns, as they will shrink during cooking.
- Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you can add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness. If desired, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- While the patties are grilling, you can lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Once the patties are ready, take them off the grill or skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble your burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Then, add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and any other condiments you prefer.
- Finally, place the top half of the bun over the toppings to complete your delicious hamburger.
- Serve the hamburgers at once and chow down!
