Ingredients:
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust according to your spice preference)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice vinegar, barbecue sauce, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken drumsticks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each drumstick is evenly coated. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are hot and ashed over.
- Remove the chicken drumsticks from the marinade and shake off any excess. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the chicken drumsticks for about 15-20 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Baste the drumsticks with the reserved marinade during the last few minutes of grilling, turning them to coat evenly.
- Once cooked, transfer the barbecue chicken drumsticks to a platter and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the barbecue chicken drumsticks hot, accompanied by your favorite side dishes such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, or potato salad.
Enjoy the flavorful and juicy barbecue chicken drumsticks! Feel free to adjust the spices and seasonings according to your taste preferences.
